This note is a starting point. It is not a permit, and it is not a government page.
Hornbillai Studio made a free Tourist Guide that walks through the official Inner Line Permit steps and points to the official festival page. The studio does not issue permits and takes no fee.
Hornbill Festival 2026
The Directorate of Tourism lists Hornbill Festival 2026 as 1 to 10 December 2026. The entry fee was still to be announced by Tourism when this was checked. Confirm the dates on the official festival page before you travel.

Where to start
Use the free guide on this website. It separates Indian tourists, foreign tourists, and Nagaland residents or students, and every screen links back to the official source.

What the official pages said on 10 October 2026
Last checked: 10 October 2026.
- An Indian tourist ILP was listed at Rs 200 per person, valid 30 days, plus payment-gateway charges.
- A foreign tourist ILP was listed at Rs 500 per person, valid 30 days. Foreign nationals also need a Protected Area Permit through the Indian e-FRRO portal.
- The portal says an online tourist application made during working hours may be approved within 4 hours. That is the portal's wording, not a promise from this studio.
- Other ILP categories, including labour, student and consultant, are not copied here. Use the portal for those.
Rules, fees and dates can change. Check the official pages again before you apply.
